Mirrors the permissions you already have.

When a source is connected, Ashsyn reads its sharing settings along with its files: users, groups, shared drives, site permissions and page restrictions. Answers for each person are built only from what that person can open.

In the example below, the finance analyst asks about salary bands. The answer exists in the HR folder, but the analyst can't open it, so the reply is not found, and the HR folder is not named.

Access is re-checked on every question.

Permissions are not cached for days. Each question checks current access with the source system before passages are retrieved. Remove someone from a folder in Drive at 10:00 and from 10:00 their answers no longer use it.

  • People who leave lose access the moment their account is disabled.
  • Group changes in Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID apply on the next question.

Admin controls to exclude folders.

Some folders are shared widely but should never feed answers: board packs, investigations, payroll exports. Admins can exclude them by path or by label.

  • Exclude a folder, a site, a space or a single file.
  • Exclusions apply to everyone, including admins.
  • Remove a source and its index is deleted with it.

Audit log of questions and sources used.

Every question is recorded with who asked, when, and which documents were cited. Admins can filter by person, source or date and export to CSV for audits. The log is available on the Company and Enterprise plans.

Your data, handled plainly.

  • Your documents and questions are not used to train models for other customers.
  • Encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest.
  • Each workspace's index is kept separate from every other workspace.
  • Admins can remove a source and its index at any time.
  • When a workspace is closed, its index and audit log are deleted.
